Maidenhair ferns have whimsical foliage typically clustered on wiry black stems. The arrangement of leaflets is representative of the hair of Venus, from Roman mythology. This is where it gets its other name, the Venus fern. Although this plant is delicate, the care is not so intimidating and it is pet-friendly, as well!
To keep this fern happy, place it in a partially shady, partially sunny spot. Medium light is where this plant will thrive. Keep the soil consistently moist, watering every other day or so. You can tell if you're overwatering, because the leaves will turn yellow. Ferns also love humidity!
