Join us at Lichen or Knot for a fun and relaxing evening filled with laughs, planting, and learning moments. Leave with a handcrafted woodland garden in your very own terrarium! 

What is a terrarium? Terrariums are mini-gardens typically housed in small glass containers, containing a fully functioning plant ecosystem that is predominantly self-sustaining. 

Hosted by Lichen or Knot team members and taught by local teacher & terrarium creator of 10 years, Corey Avellar, you will learn all about care tips to keep your terrarium successful and looking its best. Beginners welcome!  

Materials

All materials are included with your classroom ticket. Materials include: 1 glass terrarium container, planting mediums to create your perfect terrarium style (soil, moss, pebbles, etc.), and 3 terrarium-loving foliage plants. Additional plants can be purchased for your terrarium on the day of the classroom and will be available at extra cost.

Details

Classrooms are open to the public with a total of 12 people. Ages 12 and up are welcome. 

Our terrarium building classroom runs about 1hr 30 mins. 

Classroom ticket is $65.
